John Burkey, a former member of Apple’s Siri team, suggested to The New York Times that existing code within Apple’s software may inadvertently trigger the output of “Trump” when listening for “racist.” He added that it’s plausible this could be an unintended prank effect rather than intentional coding or misleading data incorporated in Apple’s AI training sets.
