According to a recent report from Bloomberg citing anonymous sources within Apple, “The much-anticipated revamp of Siri is encountering various engineering challenges and software issues that could delay or restrict its rollout.”

At WWDC24, attendees witnessed impressive demos showcasing how this next-gen version of Siri could aggregate data across different applications for more insightful responses. While traditional commands were limited—like “Turn on the kitchen light”—the upcoming iteration surprised many with capabilities such as: “Share the photos from Saturday’s cookout with Malia.”
However, achieving reliability in such sophisticated features has proven more difficult than expected; reports indicate they are not yet functioning consistently.
