In 2024, Realme made a remarkable entrance by launching an impressive lineup of 45 devices, with some models designated for the Chinese market and others targeted globally. Below is our assessment of the standout and disappointing entries in Realme’s smartphone range.
Top Performer: Realme GT 7 Pro
The Realme GT 7 Pro was released towards the end of the year to rescue what had been an underwhelming period for the brand. This smartphone epitomizes flagship quality with its cutting-edge chipset, versatile camera system, and robust battery life. Moreover, it features a remarkably bright display that pleasantly surprised us.
This device includes nearly all the essential attributes one would expect from a high-end phone — an IP69 water resistance rating, Android 15 with a customized version of Realme UI that stands out among similar interfaces available today, as well as additional features like comprehensive NFC functionality.
Realme GT 7 Pro
While it’s true that this device comes equipped with a slightly smaller battery in certain key regions—5,800 mAh—it still performs admirably alongside its rapid 120W wired charging capability.
Underperformer: Realme GT 6 Series
Typically considered the flagship series for Realme devices, the GT 6 lineup failed to leave a significant mark. The GT 6T (introduced in China as Neo6 SE) featured a Snapdragon 7-series processor while its counterpart—GT 6—had access to Snapdragon’s more powerful options but opted for only an incremental upgrade via Snapdragon’s Gen 3 instead of utilizing their top-tier offerings.
Realme GT6 & Realme GT 6T
The genuine disappointment came from choosing to make wide availability exclusive to China while providing less-than-stellar camera features. While we appreciated aspects like fast charging on this model, it was relief when we saw that the much better-performing GT7 soon followed suit.

A Noteworthy Release: RealMe 13 Pro+
When initially presented at an event in Bangkok, we were hesitant about whether the 13 Pro+ would be compelling due to minimal enhancements over its predecessor—the same display specifications along with unchanged chipset or camera configurations raised doubts at first glance. However:
Upon handling this device firsthand,we discovered it embodied significant upgrades ,highlighting improvements such as enhanced battery longevity ,upgraded charging capabilities ,and improved screen brightness levels which set this model apart impressively.
A new addition was also introduced featuring artificial intelligence capabilities integrated directly into operating functions emerging notably from other mid-range offerings within their portfolio .’photo-editing AI tools’ were prominent among them reflecting potential saturation versus performance limits stemming from usage scenarios dictated by Qualcomm’s Snadpragon chip architecture . Nevertheless, lens versatility offered confidence fostering healthier discussions around consumer desirability too amid availed telephoto features !
